The goal of Brighton Institute's Job Readiness Program is to help individuals become efficient job seekers and, in turn, secure meaningful long-term employment.
Job Readiness classes are small and manageable, providing ample opportunity for students to receive one-on-one attention. Throughout the three week course, students will learn many new skills and fine tune existing strengths. Individuals will learn how to utilize the internet, and other sources, to seek employment, build an effective resume, strengthen interview skills, troubleshoot challenges associated with job searching and interviewing, as well as work on retention skills once they have been hired.
Individuals will also learn how to work with an interpreter during the interview process and understand their rights and responsibilities when requesting reasonable accommodations according to the Americans with Disabilities Act.
